1977 Pontiac Gran Prix - For Bad-Asses Only! - $1700 (Portland)

Quote:
1977 Pontiac Gran Prix

Are you looking for a nice quiet ride?
A car that sips gas as you commute to the local coffee shop for your fair trade blend as you work on your novel/screenplay/dissertation?
A car that you and the wife can drive out to wine country as you talk about what charities your going to donate to this year?
Well, then you're a wimp, go buy a Prius.

THIS IS A MAN'S CAR!

It's a loud, fast, beer chugging, donuts on your neighbors lawn kind car!
It's a I don't care about you or your "honor student" kids kind of car!
It's got a V8, with dual exhaust!
Dings and dents from the poor bastards foolish enough to get in it's way!
There have been lots of GOOD TIMES in and on the interior!
Cracked windshield from head banging too hard to Judas Priest!
Huge trunk to haul lots of beer!
This machine runs like a pig on fire! (sorry vegans)
Drive fast through the Pearl District, making fake tanned trophy wives jump behind their BMW's in fear!
Bring down the property values of your entire neighborhood with this parked on your lawn!
Do something worthwhile for once in your miserable life, grow a pair and buy this bad-ass ride!
$1700 or best offer

Muscle car, V8, chevy, ford, mopar, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1978, 1979, 1980, GM, Buick, Dodge

Not Craigslist but kijiji. I saw this car when it was originally posted by the garage that sold it to this guy. I have no idea what a Lamonz is though.

But it has the rare 400 Small Block option! (Ok, maybe it's a chevy mill...can't tell from pics)

Apparently, putting some horrible leather seats in your '66 GTO makes it a "restomod" worth $69,000.

In the engine compartment photos, I noticed that something fairly important is missing...

Link to Ebay listing.

I assume it's some kind of fanless water pump?...but it looks stock.....Looks like he left it with manual drum brakes too...lol
Nice looking car though...Don't care for the seats in that type of car either.

I'm assuming (hoping?) there's an electric fan mounted in front of the radiator.

Did they mount the shift porch on top of the carpet?

Notice the New Mexico plates? Doubtful the car would drive very far in the desert wo cooling fans.

Interesting $$$ spent on wheels, tires, Global West suspension while still 4wdrum brakes.

The Global West suspension for the rear and the stock front suspension. Every time I look at that ad again, I find something else to laugh at. Notice that he's got the power steering pulleys on the engine still, but manual steering?

A pretty good oil leak too. Ended without any bids. Can't imagine why......

Wow....and that appears to be right in someone's front yard on a residential street. Not really a bad looking neighborhood from what I can see.... I can't imagine the neighbors will be giving this guy 'yard of the month' anytime soon.
