GM "ATLAS" DOHC engine
My question is: why do I not see any interest in this engine? 270 HP, DOHC, they should be easily available. Just curious.

I had one in my 2004 TrailBlazer; nice smooth power. They had this weird issue that when cold they sometimes would go into minimum power mode while driving. You had to put it in neutral, shut it off, count to 3 and restart.
GM denies there is an issue. |

Seems like it should be a good, modern design package for a rod.

theres been some activity on this.
One of which was adapting parts to use in OHC-6 Also some interest in adapting the twin dual cam 3.4 heads to an OHC-6.

Only issues I see is the goofy oil pan and what ECM will you use to run it?
I would suspect it has almost zero aftermarkt support. |

I pulled one for a friend who wanted to "experiment"
Sawzall makes quick work of that steering link that is an engineering nightmare
