Refurb as in replacing a wire or wire harness is not the same as repairing when it comes to electronics!

Is the box dead?

If you are talking about the inside of the box, there is or used to be a company that did that.
TechWest Racing Services comes to mind but not sure of that.
Do a search on PY it has been discussed years ago.

I had an issue with my 6AL 10 years ago and I sent it back to MSD to be repaired, it was reasonably priced.

I did get a response from Holley pasted in below and TechWest did confirm they will refurb old units. I ended up going with a replacement but good to know as a backup:

You will want to call the MSD specialist at 866-464-6553. We can get boxes in to service them, and the guys on the phone can tell you how much this would be and also get you setup for this service.

Thanks,
