Default What is a "Carbon Pipeline"?

Please don't politicize this innocent question.

Just wondering.
There appears to be some folks not liking this...
Is this possibly real or another dream???

A couple articles explaining what it is and why some farmers are objecting to them.

Sounds like a pie in the sky idea to me. I would not want another line across my farm. It takes a good ten years to get production back to where it was before construction. Typically they only pay a set fee for the easement to put it in and then compensation on loss of production for 5 years on a sliding scale per year.

100% first year
80% second year
60% third year
40% fourth year
20% fifth year

No residual payments while the line is in the ground either.

Then again, It could be a ruse to get a pipeline built, and then convert it to oil once the political climate changes.
