Crower Endura SS shaft rocker group buy ? High Ports std
Looking to gauge interest in this. Another member and I are looking to buy Crower SS shaft rockers for High Ports std. They dropped their price a couple hundred bucks each from one set to two sets.
If we can get some more people the price will drop. Around 1640$ buying 2 sets from 1800+ dollars. Let me know if you are interested. We will all pay the same price, everything out in the open. They are 2-4 weeks out. T & D rockers are 20 weeks out, 1900$ for aluminum and 1029$ more for steel. Way too much IMO. |

Their SS shafts look a lot nicer than T&Ds.
I can tell you their E head ones came with rockers that did not line up with pushrods I had to get offest but they swapped them out N/C

My Crower shafts rockers fit great on HP’s. Required a shorter push rod than SS stud rockers.

Round port e-heads and HP heads use the same shaft setup

Maybe Crower kept the offset I told them. Yours look like they have offset on them. Mine they originally were supposed to be the same as iron heads even though the Edlebrocks have the valve spacing shifted so they sent a whole new set of shafts too.

Jeg's sells them for the same price we do. Right now they have a promotion for $100 off an order of $1500 or more and you qualify for free shipping.... FWIW

The Crower part number is for the KRE High Port head. The Jegs part number in your link is not the same.
KRE High Ports have a .200 offset as standard, E head does not I believe. You would think if they used the same shaft setup the part number would be the same. |

Both are listed on page 141 here in the Crower catalog:
Different part numbers noted. http://crower.com/media/pdf/Master_Crower_Cat_21_22.pdf Crower lists the Edelbrock head with 0.100" offset. The T&D catalog states 0.080" offset for the Edelbrock head. Years ago KRE published information for the High Port head stated, "Utilizes standard pushrod location". Today their published wording states, "Utilizes standard pushrod location for 3/8 pushrod" .

Got off the phone with Jeff. High Ports have a .170 offset on the intake. The Crower part number ( NOT the one on the JEGS link) is made for heads intended for standard rockers. They only mill the pad for big time off set for wide ports.

The Crower 74169F is the one to get for std High Ports. They are .200 offset on the intake and .100 on the exhaust. Jeff told me they work just fine, he buys that part number for his customers. High Port std heads are .170 on intake and .070 on the ex but they still work.
The part number does not show at Jegs, but their tech says they can get it. The 1540$ deal is good for a couple more weeks. I could get them for 1514$ from Crower but would need buy 4 sets. Summit wants 1700$. T&D won,t come down no matter what and you have to wait until summer. They are a rip. So its Jegs. |

Early next week Jegs is going to add the Crower std port SS Endura shaft rocker part number 74169F will be added to their website. I had to jump through a lot of hoops to get this done but was the best way to have other people get those rockers at the sale price without have to talk to a supervisor at Jegs and convince them to do it for you.
They gave me a E mail quote 100$ more than the E head shaft rocker set. Could not have that so I fixed it after I was told no by 2 tech people. Then I talked to their boss. |

What rocker ratio are you folks running on your Hi Port head(s) drag race engines with these Crower shaft rockers, I am leaning towards 1.7 but haven’t made a decision.
The engine parts that I have include a IA-IIA block, a set of Hi Port heads and a Crower billet crank with a 4.125” arm. I need to start ordering the rest of the parts required for this engine. I was going talk to Dave about the camshaft specs, since he did the heads. So far I am unable to contact Dave.
