WTB 66 or 67 Complete factory A/C conversion
Hi , I'm toying around with the idea of putting factory A/C in my 66 Tempest Wagon . It is a V8 car . It already has the A/C core support and fan shroud . I'm looking for a complete set up still installed in a car so I can disassemble it myself or purchase a parts car that still has the system intact . This is so I can get all the parts needed as well as being able to make templates of where the required cuts I'll have to make for the firewall and dash board . The last time I did this conversion was on my original 66 Tempest Wagon back in 1974 . I Remember it was a pain in the butt but it worked out well . I am located in the SW part of VA .Thank You for your help . Don

70ra455 , Thanks for the reply . I picked up most of the stuff I need in Carlisle . In the next week or so I will lay everything I got out and see what I am missing . I'll repost an update after that . Thanks for your help . Don

What do you intend to do about the sheet metal in the RH inner kick panel/cowl area? That piece is substantially different than the non-A/C version with the kick panel vent. The surface is about an inch inboard to accommodate the evaporator housing and outlet, compared to the non-A/C version.
