Thanks guys!!
My bird did all the work, all I had to do was cut lights. My best pass was a 13.26 and my worst was a 13.31. So I dialed in a 13.27 and ran within .004 all day. The car was a dream to drive and deadly consistent in either lane. My best light was also .004 and my worst was .088, but it was good enough to get me through rounds and to the eventual class win. |

I was betting on the all Jones final. With 3 of us left I got the bye run because I had the quickest reaction time from the 3, so I was feeling pretty good about my chances. Then dad goes out in the semi final and redlights giving the win away. Oh well. I think he had a good time despite all his problems, and surprised he made it that deep into rounds. |

Very cool Mike!!
Thanks for that pic of me a pops. That was a pic of time trial runs where we got the chance to line up heads up. About the only thing I could do is tree dad, after that it was all over. I have that on video, one of many I need to upload. I seriously thought about leaving on the first yellow just for chits and grins A chase is a race right? LOL |

Best it's gone is 13.10 at 106 mph. I've always felt it's had a high 12 pass in it but we always seem to hit the track when the DA is 2500 or higher, and yesterday was no exception approaching 3,000 feet again.
It's a stock RAIII Formula, the engine was built to conform to the PS rules. Stock heads, carb, intake, exh manifolds. No porting. 068 cam. 2 1/2" pypes transverse exhaust, 3.31 gear. Runs pump gas, but yesterday I pumped a couple gallons of 110 in it and mixed with a full tank of 91. I've tweaked on the suspension with legal tricks, modified control arm bushings, honed sway bar bushings (sway bar is hooked up) and a pair of oil filled front shocks. Original 50 year old springs all around. It's worked really well like this for a couple of decades. Very little burnout and the car just hooks. Best 60 foot is 1.88 with basically all stock parts. Yesterday it was 1.92 best and stayed around 1.92 to 1.95 all day. It's not a power house, but really fun and easy to drive. |

Congrats Larry! That is one fine running Formula and you should be proud of that performance. What was your mph at the race...104 (+)? It does launch really well with that good weight transfer.
