55 MM round cores are a problem now. We may need to put together a block buying order together and try to leverage LSM or Bullet into making a run of 25-50 pieces based on the need out there. That would bring the cost down and peak their interest possibly. 12 to 16 weeks for cores is the time line I am getting for cores and another month minimum to make a camshaft. Bullet has a single core on the shelf, no distributor gear. May want to secure it if you can run without the gear. If the material is there, they can possibly cut the gear for you.

Isn’t a 50MM an option if you use needle cam bearings?

Since LSM and Bullet are the few companies that make cores for us, I wish they would just bite the bullet and make a make a run of 25-50 round billet cores. They would certainly sell them in a year or two. All the other cam companies buy their cores from them. Possibly someone who knows how to do it could set up a poll and see what the interest is in making a run?
