Default 1957 Safari

I just picked up this old girl.
Looks better in the pic.
Has had a bit of a hard/neglected life
Has a 2 or 3" Chop.
Needs plenty of work...but couldn't pass it up.

Will be going over it all on Sunday to see exactly what needs to be done.

Cool! You'll have to keep us posted with more pics and any history you find on it. Good save!

Are you planning to go with the chop?

It would be an awful lot of work to un-chop the car.

With the big tires on the back it makes the chop job look like it wasn't chopped as much in the back as in front (optical illusion) giving the car a "wedge" shape look.

With so much work to restore the roof line, I'd just finish up the job. I like it!

Nice! At least in the picture, the chop job appears well done.

I agree. I kinda like it.

And with the angle that the flatbed is at, it makes it look really raked. With the big back tires, it definitely has an Ed Roth look to it. Put a shifter handle out the roof and a monster driving it!!

I love it! The only thing cooler than a '57 Safari is a chopped '57 Safari.

Nomads sure do pale in comparison to Safari Deluxe wagons.

The more I look at the car...the more work is needed. I don't know why it was pulled apart...and why they have done stupid things when pulling it apart... But it will all get fixed up.
