Default 1968 400 Top End

A nice 1968 top end from a WT code 400. I used the block for my stroker project, but had to go to 6X8 heads. I intended to use the '68 intake, but it would have needed to be milled to fit properly. Rather than cutting it, I went with a milled '72 intake, which fits the crossovers on the 6X8 heads better anyway. In the end, I am left with a pair of heads and intake that were born together and are stock.

While the stoker was being built, I ran this top end on a 389 (with an 066 cam so piston-valve clearance was not issue). Ran great.

The heads are big valve #16, dates A188 and B148. My shadetree ccing put them at 72 ccs - it doesn't appear that they have been milled. I've never done any work on them other than to replace the valve seals. The date on the intake is also B148.

I would rather not separate now that I've gone the extra mile to keep them together. Asking $450 obo plus the ride from 22207. Happy to meet if you're in the vicinity.
