I know full history on this motor. Originally built by Butler for 70 yr old gentleman in Maryland. Was in street strip 74 GTO as a 496. He sold it around 2012 or so to local guy after being freshened up by butler in 2010 or so. I purchased from that guy. He did nothing to the car. I pulled motor and trans and sold rest to guy here. I ran the 496 for a while and rebuilt to 505 less than yr ago. Got most all receipts for its life span.

Everything still available!! Don't miss this opportunity to own a lightweight powerhouse street Pontiac motor for much less than a new build and without a very lengthy wait. I will be traveling to mid Alabama around the middle of this month and can bring the motor. Can meet in reasonable distance from there. Not forced to sell but am motivated seller, so make an offer if interested. Interested in the whole car?? Rust free under 80k miles with many awesome upgrades. Call me. 281-389-6150.

O.K., David, what ARE you up to!

FWIW, I did a custom HR for an LS-7 recently. Unported factory heads, intake duration less than 240 @ .050, and it put 580 to the wheels.

Good luck with sale! If not for 4 surgeries in the last 3 years (and 4 additional surgeries for my son), I might be trying to work a deal with you :-) I don't trust used stuff in general, but if YOU say it is good, then I would believe it.

Hey Lee....Sorry to hear about the health thing. Getting older and have issues of my own. Ready for a comfortable daily driver now that I am not running the oil rigs anymore. Can't afford to drive this monster as much as I want!! Time to move on. When the time comes, I will be talking to you. Thanks

The engine appears to be sold. Will know tomorrow. My plan is to install the original engine and sell as driver. The car has a ton of nice mods. Call me for details if that interest you or if interested in roller. Thanks.

The buyer will have a finely tuned engine that for sure. I'm with Dave as far as moving on to something else. I just installed a new AGE supercase M22 in the '79 so it's ready for the road after sitting on jackstands for 6 months. I'm tired of wrenching and would rather put the hassles aside for new late model motoring. Plus I'm having more fun racing vintage MX bikes.
