No funeral information has been found thus far. I will let the family alone on this. When they want to release information, it will happen.

Don can probably tell us specifically. He had an article in High Performance Pontiac Magazine some where in last year or two. Article was a tri-power build (421?), specifically about the carbs (if I remember...) They dyno'd engine w/ tri-power. Jim had always been curious what kind of power one of these engines would make w/ just the center carb functioning, he got to make a pull w/ just the center carb.....
Sorry to hear his passing...

Missed this thread, just found out today from Randy at 1/2 Scale Dragsters which is located in the other half of the building Jim used to rent.
I know he could be "gruff" to those that didn't know his mannerisms, especially on the phone when he'd stop working a head to answer it. And apparently had a couple disagreements to put it politely with a few customers which led to a bit of a rift around him. But having been fortunate enough to have known him very well, and have drop in at anytime status and call him more than an acquaintance, I will say that he always had the good of the Pontiac performance community in mind and strove to make sure that his tech q& a and numerous articles always provided information of the highest accuracy and value to the readers.

My 'bird flew the coop this year, it's in good hands and has some of that Jim Taylor magic touch in the cylinder heads. Enjoy it Jamie.

And Rest in Peace my friend.

Very Sad.
I spoke to Taylor several times in the 1990's.
He was Very Bold and Super Tough.
One of my All Time Favorites from the High Performance Pontiac Camp Magazine .
One day he asked me where I was from in Illinois .
AH YES BRIAN.....I BOUGHT UP ALL YOUR 455 PONTIACS THERE.
I laughed.....No Jim I still Have My 455's.
Laughed together.
WHAT DO YOU NEED KID ?
I WILL HELP YOU.
