Your grasping at straws now, yes maybe someone did at Pontiac get it wrong but it is a FACT that Pontiac has always called it a NASA HOOD weather the actual duct is a naca duct but were talking about the hood & it has always been called the NASA hood by Pontiac , even though the duct is a naca duct. Pontiac called it a NASA hood because of the tie in with the space race at the time. That has been in print by Pontiac for a long time that they used the NASA hood as ti in with the space race which was very popular at that time to help sales. Pontiac knew what they were doing at the time, & the hood will always remain a NASA hood & the duct is a naca duct , But the HOOD as referd to is a NASA HOOD.

As Fred & Ginger probably once said, "You say NASA I say NACA, lets call the whole thing off!"

I don't care what anyone calls it! Someone needs to buy it/them! If I had a 73 gto with a not so nice hood, one of these would be on it for sure!

addyboy , this has been a long term discussion that has been going on for a LONG time, I don't ever want to put anyone out when this subject comes up but it is kinda a sore spot with me as I've had my 73 since it was new & have had this same argument from the very beginning I don't want to make you upset but when I see the mistake it sometimes get a little under my skin at times.

I am looking for one of these with the vents.
