It's already being talked about on the Super Duty Forum under the 70-73 Firebird's.

See that - thought I'd post it here for folks like myself that never visit that forum, but do visit this one.

Think this is going to end up being one that the seller has an idea of what it's worth, what a buyer is willing to pay, and there's a sizeable gap between the two. It's a rare car, the attraction is the color, and it's a real bummer the knuckle head that paid big money for it at one point elected to cock it up by trying to convert it to a non AC car. I dig it, but it needs about 10k just to make it correct, and then it's still going to be a driver condtion car. I think if this car was initially treated to a high caliber correct resto it would be one a few that you could get that money out of due to it's exclusivity-even with only two pedals. But it's tweener, and anyone looking to buy it and take it to that level now will spend a lot more than 10k,and be buried in it. JM .02

That is my old car. I sold it to the guy in California. At that time everything was there hooked up and working. It is a real black car. It is talked about on the 70-73 site

Earlier comment is well stated.

Cool car, but in today's market, hard to say it's worth what the seller wants.

Might be a great candidate to super detail, and send to a big auction?

Hey Mark, speaking of Formula's do you still have that Mecham triple black 79 I sold you years ago? Another rare bird I wish I kept..

Small world!

No, Tom Fischer at Muscle Car Alley helped me sell it. The fella who owns PHS bought it from me...he sold it for twice what he paid me for it!

The way it always seems to work for me.

You looking at adding this black SD?

I'd love to have it, has a few similarities with that 79,in about the same driver condition..and there in lies the rub. I had heard JM owned the Mecham car, wasn't sure if it was before or after I did but that's cool to know he thought enough of it's rarity to buy it. I hear ya on the other element- I bought that car from a guy who got it at BJ,think he paid 6k for it,i paid him twelve..you can do the math from there!
