Cars runs and handles great! I've owned a 2004 and 2005 GTO and wish I never sold them. I love the LS power. Next week Redline Motorsports in Pompano Beach is building me a new LS3 stroker for the TA. It should produce between 600-625 hp at the crank. All manley rotating assy, trick flow 255 heads, lsx intake, 90mm throttle body, center force clutch, american racing headers, free flowing catts back to Magnaflow exhaust. They will do the engine install and dyno tune also. I can't wait!!!!

Robbie I hope all is well with you! Hopefully they will be installing the engine next week. Trying to make a decision on the rearend.......might just put a new gear set (3.73) and bearings or upgrade to a 12 bolt!!

If your asking my opinion putting any money in the stock 10bolt would be just like throwing it out the window. The rear ends in these cars is marginal with stock power...put 600HP through a 6spd to it and it WILL fail and it wont take long. If your putting that much in the motor you don't want to have to drive it like its on eggshells...go with the 12 bolt and sell your 3.42 rear end and recoup some of the cost....those rear ends bring good money (because so many people break them!)

Definitely go with the 12-bolt at your anticipated power level.
Don't waste a dime on the factory rear.
