Really?
Well then explain what you think my intentions were with my original post. Then I can explain to you how wrong your butt hurt interpretation is.

It will cut way down on the "I agree" and "X2" posts that clog up the board.

Its much easier to ignore a like than another post in the thread.
And that doesn't even get into the old "Were you talking to me" issues when the threads are moving quickly.

Like everything else, if you don't like it, don't use it.

The reason given by the administrator for having the "Thank You" option was to thank someone for posting something that person found helpful. How is saying "EHTTFMF" for the thousandth time helpful to anyone and why would you want to encourage it????? All it does is encourage more posts of use to no one--the same old guys saying "Right on!" to the same old guys.

Get it now?

I agree with all of this and won't use it. But, the talk of contests to see who gets the most "thank you's" is a little weird. Maybe I'm just too old for this Facebook-style world (and, no, I don't belong to Facebook either).

Yes, leave the computer off.

You could give away $100 bills and someone would still be pissed off.

I prefer to AGREE (X2, X1000) with a valid Post or Suggestion vs hit some "Thanks" key (What am I thanking him for?) I already knew the info, just AGREEING with the Post the guy made.

Tom Vaught

ps I thought the "What Boys" were trying to get their Timing Belt deal figured out so that they could continue with the 11" Deck engine build John.

My honest guess is that we never see this project at the track. Ever.
