Well at least I am not getting blasted by you guys yet for parting it out. I am going to hold onto the steering wheel until this is all done. If I am able, I am going to keep that. I am going to get all these parts off the car, clean them up to see what condition they are actually in. I am going to try and pull most everything off, but if there are any small parts needed, let me know as they would likely end up in the scrap yard. Once I have this tore down, I will update the for sale section.

Thanks
Brad

Default WOW!!!

63GPMAN. Most the cars that I drive are in worse shape then that Cat!!!!! I would drive the heck out of that car!!!

New Jersey sux period. BUT, if you have bill of sale, they will ask you right at the counter if you want to title the car. Add $65.00 to $125.00 and 1 minute later that car is titled to you.

Seems like all of the other states are too serious about that stuff.

Awesome find. And yeah that steering wheel is NICE!!!

Sadly it seems you get cars with either good engines, good bodies, or good interiors. Pick 2 and the other is guaranteed to be in horrible shape.

Shame it's so ugly underneath and rotten, but it is nice to see the rest of the car in good shape. Hopefully someone will get some nice parts out of the deal!

Yea, there are holes in the frame in several spots, but for some reason. the left front fender and both wheel wells appear to be in good shape. the rt fender looks to have been patched prior. I guess I will see more once they are off of the car. I can use the fender wells on my car, so that will be good if they are good.

Gonna ask 63gpman which parts are ugly or nice.

My wife is out of town this week with the kids so I will have time to take the Cat appart. I am going to start posting things in the for sale section today. If there is anything that you need, feel free. I have had a few requests so far. Also, I am not great on pricing, so I am going to put up what I feel is a good price, but if you guys see that i have something way over or under priced, feel free to help out and let me know. Only looking to be fair to anyone on this board but not looking to give things away either.

Thanks guys!

Sure, wait till your son is out of town to part out his Catalina!

By VIN is that the 1st type or 2nd type steering linkage setup?

Do you want to sell the engine complete, or part it out?

Yea, he is starting to have fun with cars. I have him turn some wrenches when I can. I did the same with my Dad and now it is my turn to pass on this crazy disease.

the vin on this car is ends in 193185.

Engine and trans are open at this point. I have worked out a deal with a local yard to house the car while I take it apart. They are going to get it started and check compression on it to see where it is at. Might be tough to get it to NV.
