Default Craigslist addiction anyone?

Well, I seem to have one! Can't stop searching for deals! In the last few months i've picked up a 64 GTO, a 65 GTO parts car, a rusty but strong running 69 Grand Prix Model J, and tonight I snagged a 69 390 hp 428 - block code XG. And that is just the Pontiac stuff! I'm also into 67-72 Chevy and GMC pickups. Currently have 4 of them.
It would be described as a sickness by some but I love it! The hunt for cars and parts are a lot of fun and it is fun meeting other car enthusiasts in the process.
Who here shares the car disease?

Addicted as well...whatever you do, don't buy the Craigslist App for your phone.

Signed,

I have it also, but mine is not limited to cars and parts, but also horses and farm equipment.

Its a buyers market for sure.

Good Times if you are a collector.

Sad truth is majority of these project cars people held onto (for whatever reason)... will be crushed.

Kind of a shame some who preach purity and history didn't sell them when they had offers, and they might have been saved back in early 2000's. Preserving Pontiac history.

If they are not rare models, chances are they will be junked and crushed as demand slides.

Parts are not even selling, cheaper to buy one done.

Be careful out there my friends. Substitute your location in the search link below and see what "activity" appears for your area.

Love CL but you gotta be smarter than the average Perps!

My name is Cliff and I have a problem. My problem is I don't have enough money to buy all the cars and parts that I want. I have scored 3 cars off of Craigslisp in the last year. The most recent is a 1972 GTO.

S2k1, throw a few bucks my way and I'll take up the CL bug too. Or better yet, the winning numbers for the next huge Power Ball drawing. LOL

I don't have room here but I've found the perfect home in Georgia for a few cars.

I don't have a problem searching Craigslist. I can stop anytime I want. Not a problem. I've, uh, gotta go...

Yep, all the time. I use the websites that combine all the listings, like searchtempest, etc. It's an obsession.

You guys are hilarious!
Is searchtempest working again? I used to use it until CL sent cease and desist letters out to all those types of sites. I was so disappointed when that happened. Time to look at it again.

Tore my newly acquired 428 down today. Std bore, std/std crank but it has had a hack working on it in the past. Cam gear was beat onto the cam snout, damaging both parts. Cam thrust plate is dented, gouged, sanded, etc. Cam was moving so much that it wore a 3/16" groove in the back of the timing cover. No spun bearings but the rod journals are ugly. It is a nice 4 bolt main builder though!
