Usually doesn't mean much at this point except that it wasn't parked because of a major malfunction.

I think that term is often used by used or classic car sales operations to indicate that the car was purchased by them from the original owner. The idea being that the car is not legally being sold by the original owner any longer, but the second owner (the car lot) does not use or drive the car as if they were an owner. So, as you said, one guy downstream from the original owner, but not used and driven by the second owner.

I have to guess that is the case. The thing starts up at the first hit of the key. Gas tank is rusted gone so we had to get creative, but I drove it into my trailer.

I love these statements in an ad. People who have never restored a car, or even changed spark plugs love to use the first one. The second is when someone attempts to do body work and realizes how much they are in over their head on a project.

How about letting the person who is going to restore a car determine if it is a great project or not, or if all the 'hard' work is done.

Another favorite...'Lady owned'. Ya mean like a lady who has never had the oil changed or any routine maintenance performed?

I went to look at a great body 72 chevy pu. When I pulled out a magnet and started rubbing the truck the owner asked what I was doing. I said looking for rust. The owner said do you really think that is fair? Nobody else brought a magnet. About that time I hit a small rust spot over the wheels about 4 foot long.
