This is Dewey beach in lower Delaware. The police car is sitting on a major road in that beach town which is RT 1. The water has broken through the sand dunes and flooded the roadway and the storm has not even hit the area yet.

I'm a block from the beach on a point on the bay. I'm on high ground, and historically the water never came closer than 50 feet from the house.

Normally the surge blows past me up the Raritan river and dumps on New Brunswick/Bound Brook before ultimately submerging Manville. I'm worried about trees falling on the house/cars.

I'm an hour north of you Maryann and live on top of a mountain. It gets windy up here. Thank God I have a garage, truck is in there. Have a nice generator that I will hook up to the panel if needed. I have a bar a restaurant and have to keep all the food and BEER COLD. Looks like we are all in for a wild ride. Wish ever one the best. Remember BE SAFE, everything else can be replaced. And check on your old neighbors, I have a few on my block.

news showed the ocean has taken residence where the beach used to be in AC! Same with DE & MD.
Looks like Southern NJ is in the path of the eye, have all needed supplies & safe zone in the house set up. All car tanks & cans full.....chainsaw, tarp, genie ready!
Everyone be smart & keep safe!!

Most of AC is under water

my daughter lives in Philadelphia right on the Schuylkill River in Conshohocken. Hoping the rainfall and power outages are not as severe as predicted. The river is supposed to crest tomorrow about 2-3 feet above flood stage so she will be out of there later today and moving to higher ground.

The schuylkill always floods. Parts of the atlactic city board walk is now floating through the streets. In ocean city md an entire fishing pier was swallowed up and collapsed in the ocean. High tide has not even happened yet and streets are already flooded.

I am on the south shore of Long Island. I am two blocks from the recommended evacuation zone. Doesn't look real good out there now or what is forecast. Hoping for the best.

Be safe all.

We just lost a 100 foot oak tree, probably at least 150 years old.

Heard a huge crack, and down it went.

Luckily, it only damaged some other trees.

Wind is gusting pretty good now & lots of rain. Expecting 60-70 mph winds during night. I'm at 1,000' elevation ! Generator is under cover on porch along with camping gear. Got a 55gal. barrel of race fuel if needed!

Hunker down !!!!!

Wonder if the PY Server has been storm hardened?

Automatic Generator, Wireless connection, Remote backup server, auto boot, all that.
