70 Bushings
I am not having any luck locating the rear 7/8 swaybar link bushings. They are the round ones that hold up the bar not the D shape that go on each end. Surely someone is reproducing this part. Chad

PST suspension makes them in poly-graphite for the 7/8" rear bar if you don't mind the poly. Last I checked they only sell them in a kit for around $40. Might be worth a call to see if they sell the rear sway bar bushings separately now. If you do order from them make sure you specify that you have the smaller 2 bolt drop links and not the later one bolt links. 877-226-4101

I was looking for the rubber type. I am not a big fan of the poly stuff. I might try making some out of a bushing with a smaller hole if it comes down to it.

Can tell you from experience, the rubber ones, especially todays rubbers, dry and crack and dont last. The drop link isnt prefect fit to swaybar and its near the bend. Im a rubber fan too, but on these I went with pst. I ordered mine right at autozone too. Ill find the correct PN tomorrow

Although I haven't tried it, I believe I read that some people are using heater hose for the round bushings. Maybe worth a shot...
What rubber bushings are you using on the ends? (The D shaped ones) I have tried a few different sets and none seem correct. Too narrow etc. -Larry |

The bushings on the ends look like the D type. I might go with the PST stuff once I get a AutoZone number. The PST number is 35105.

I thought Autozone carried Energy Suspension parts.

Opps, again HFR is correct, I got them mixed up. Here is the Part numbers for any application, order and pick em up at AUTOZONE . After trying home made, and rubber ones, I found these to stay put and work well. I used a bit of waterproof grease on inside. No noise from them. I even took off my old pitted link arms and use these with the new PY repro drop links, ( early style) and its all good. I run the std formula 5/8 bar.
you may have to order the "kit" of rear sway bar bushings( has the shock plate "D" ends as well) in order to get the round sway bar ones that you seek. |
