1965 389 camshaft GM 9779068
HI, have a orginal 389 4bbl 325 hp Need to rebuild and i like to replace the camshaft. I like to buy the OEM GM 9779068 where can i get it and which crane cams number this part have? Crane cams reproduce this part.
Does this cam works in a orginal 389 2 bbl, too without any modifications? Thanks, Bjoern |

I don't have the Crane #, but I have used that cam in all the motors that I have done with great results.

The original OEM cam was made by Melling. It is still available as the Melling 068 cam. Available at any Advance, Autozone, Carquest, etc.

Melling part number SPC-7. Not a "clone", but as Jerry says, the "real deal".
