Default 68 428 in a 77 t/a motor mounts question

I am planning on buying a '68 428 (with 2 bolt motor mounts) to put in my '77 T/A (3 bolt). My question is, will I simply leave out the top bolt or will it be much more complicated than that?
Thanks to all,
Darrin

No the two holes that are there are in the wrong position for your mounts. The aftermarket sells adapters for this swap. I think our host has them too.

I have a '68 400 in my '75, I made mine using 1/4" flat stock, I tapped the holes that needed to be threaded and through drilled the others, I've mad 5-6 sets that way and they work fine.

Here's a couple of pictures of the mounts I used to put my '69 428 into my '77 T/A. You re-use the stock '77 mounts and bolt them to these adapters. Simple flat stock steel, with nuts welded to the back of the steel. Work like a charm.
