I am just about to concede to buying an LM-2 to help me setup my motor. I find that without the use of a dyno or a dragstrip, it is difficult to assess if I am too rich or too lean and need some sort of a mathematical way to determine if my motor is working at it's peak efficiency.
The LM-2 looks to be the bomb as far as functionality and flexibility. I have newer vehicles that have OBD-II and this device can read and help with diagnostics. who here is using the LM-2 for your carbureted car and how do you like it? |

You might want to check into a G-tech meter. They are like a miniature dyno for you car. You can get them at summit, Etc. and they will tell you if your going in the right direction as far as power. Better than guessing seat of the pants. You can also graph HP and torque. They are fairly accurate, even more so than real dyno cause they take in wind resistance. Mine works great.
Just a thought. |

I picked mine up for $30.00 online. Pretty accurate compaired to my time slips useing it at the track. Low 13 sec. 4 sp.car. For street tuneing, Make 3 runs then average out the speed. Theres your baseline. Make 1 change, repeat the same 3 runs again and average the numbers again and see if improved. Pretty Cool! Gas ,tires, & oil comsuming but can be fun

I've ben using the LM-1 with the innovate exahust clamp and logging data in HP Tuners for my 2006 GTO. The LM-1 works great for what I use it for in that vehicle and then HP Tuners allows me to scan the OBDII and log all the data during runs. If all you are looking at doing is monitoring A/F and don't really need to scan OBDII ports you may want to look at the LC-1 and LM-1. I believe they are a bit cheaper than the LM-2, but you will lose the functionality of the LM-2. One of the big benefits of the LM-2 is that you can input additional sensors and log that data in addition to the A/F.

I use the LM-1 also, great tool for tuning!
Go with the LM-2,which is just the newest version. Innivate also has a great forum to help you along with tuning. I picked up close to 20hp and exactly 20ft/lb tuning my carb with the LM-1.No other changes.
