door edge guards
How rare are 64-65 door edge guards? How much is a nice set of these worth? There is a set on ebay, the bidding is at $300 and the reserve is still not met.
Thanks, Don |

I had a set on my 65 when I purchased it.
The car needed body work and paint, so I took it to a body shop, the car sat at the body shop for about a year and nothing was ever done to it, just sat outside in the elements the whole time under snow. Picked the car up, took it home and never thought anything about until a couple years ago. I was looking at another 65 and I saw the door edge guards and I said to myself, "hey I have those". When I looked at my car, they were gone. Couldn't say anything to the body shop place, how could I prove it, but I know they were there. dhutton: your post just killed me, man that sucks, a rare item and now they are gone and they were original to the car because they are on my PHS. Sorry just had tell the story, Mark

I found a pair for my 66' several years ago.
The seller had them listed/marked wrong and I paid under $150.00. With each passing year NOS will keep going up unless someone re-pops some good replacments. $350.00-$450.00 is where they seem to be at this time. Crazy how things have gone.
