Track Rental-Bradenton, Fl 5/4/07
Tired of waiting in the staging lanes for over an hour between passes ? Here is an answer. The guys over on the LS1GTO.COM forums are trying to put together a track rental at Bradenton for Friday May 4 from 6 to 11pm. Field is limited to the first fifty Pontiacs [any make, model or year] to sign up. They've got some slots open but need to fill them fast so they can get the track locked up for that date. I will then put you in touch with the event coordinator as to payment of fees, etc. Just think of how many runs you can make in five hours with only 50 cars at the track !! Plus it'll be a lot of fun.

Bradenton track rental
PM me with the details. I maybe interested. I used to run my 67 GTO at the Nostalgia drags over there. However I have been looking for an opportunity to try out the "new" GTO (2004).

MCronkGTO - you need to get that 04 Goat to the strip !! Go over to LS1GTO.com website/forum. {if you think this site is slow - just wait}, scroll down to South East and then go to NO FRILL I @ BMP 5/4/07.
It's $53 per car, $11 for spectators. It's on Friday May 4, gates open at 5pm, racing from 6 to 11 pm. Field limited to 50 cars, that way you can get in plenty of passes. I don't know if you've been to Bradenton Raceway lately but it is really getting crowded for open test and tune, to the point that you make a pass per hour. Strip is in great shape, hooks like a prostitute. Let me know if you can commit to the race. I remember your 67 GP - gotta a pix of it somewhere on my computer. Good to hear from you Mark.

P-Dude - haven't seen you here on the boards much lately - good to hear from you. Watch this topic for further details on the track rental. Sign up is going slow so it may not happen. Can't wait to see that 535 in action.

The guys at the LS1GTO are real good guys. JoeyD real class guy. I took my old 67 GTO out to their ALLGTO day at BMS last fall. Only 4 of us old guys out their but is was great not to run w/o waiting an hour. I got in 4 runs in less than 2 hours before I smoked the clutch. If I can get it fixed by may I,ll be their. All of us old guy cars need to be their. The new gto's aren't like the old ones but they are fast. If I don,t race I,ll come to see the old bonne run
