Default 17" wheel and tire combo

here we go again ,but Ive got to ask.widest possible rimsizes in 17" that will fit 79 Trans front and rear. ive ben told up to 10" with 5" back spacing for the rear..fronts no more than 8"with 4.5"back spacing.does any one have a solid answer . no guestimates please .If your interested I also a complete set of 8" snow flakes polished with new rubber up for sale..

my 17x9's with 275/50-17 FILL the well up at 28"; i had to roll the lips for room on the outside, had to clearance the seatbelt bulges in the rear for room on the inside.
up front i run a 8 with a 255/50, but in hindsight aBSOLUTELY would have used 9's in front also with more BS (same wheel as on rear of car) with teh same 255 tire; these front heavy piggies need all the front tire you can fit.

17X9 in front 0 offset (5" back space) 245-45-17 tire, 17X9 5" b/s 285-40-17 in rear seat belt bump does need a bit of hammering and rolled the outer lip just to be safe.
