Last night I was running them loose about an 1/8 inch, sort of like slapper bars. I'm planning on trying them preloaded next time out, how much is the question.

Looks like I bent the driver's side spring for the third time, I need to ask about that too.

Jess, yes they stayed and ran again today, there was almost no one there. He put the Drag Radials on and lowered the nitrous shot and ran several 6.50's, (he's running a 6.50 class)

On that run with the Mopar I rolled into it then floored it, so there was two hits.

I had a camera and a video camera there, but the wife forgot about both.

Marauder-look forward to seeing you at the strip sometime-we're having a lot of fun. No real secrets to share - just that son Rob is a darn good driver, only took him a few passes to figure out how to launch the Catalina and his 60 foot times are very consistent [1.7 or less]. The trick is to get a big heavy Pontiac out of the hole, after that it'll take care of itself. And our tires are narrow at 235/60 15's.
The Mickey Thompson ET Streets are very sticky, like them a lot. We drop pressure to the 16-18 pound range. The big key for us is if the track is properly prepped. If it is, then we run well. If it isn't then we just burn the tires at the line.
With the way P-Dude set up and built our motor and tranny Rob launches off idle and the 455 spins right up to the power band. I have to think that P-Dude's custom ground hydraulic roller cam is the heart of the combo, this cam is really sweet. Hope to see you soon, thanks, Jim

A personal joke about what his son says.
Dave's car flies. Pump gas and will go into the 9's.

Jim. got your glasses. Karen found them under the hood at the firewall box. They made a 10.06 Saturday night on the new plate system. LOL.
Yes, quite a few impressed people looking and watching that ride.

455 Dave Underwood........ Can't say thanks enough for putting Karen & I up Saturday night so we could run Sunday and not drive 4 hrs roundtrip. Thanks dude.

Jesse. nice rides.

Gotta get with Kevin McNichol. Anybody look at his and his buddys tag trailers? That dude build some awesome interiors for trailers. WOW.

Brandi and her half track smokin one wheel John Force runs. LOL. She does on a pass what Force does on a burnout. That car will run high 12's when she gets her rear sset up in. Did ya get the alternator deal fixed? Ya gut guts girl. racin, shifting and doing it without any real help.
As Oprah says................. you go girl. LOL.

Had Fun and glad to meet and hang with everyone. Yes the place was packed Saturday night. We stayed for the Runday Sunday and hardly any cars in the lanes. maybe 8 pair at a time. Ya coulda raced all day. Left at 3 pm right before the downpour. But really HOT & Muggy.
Put the 73 pills (175hp) in Big Shot plate and got her dialed right on 6.50's(6.51/6.58/6.51) in the 1/8th for Immockolee's 6.50 street car heads up deal. In the heat. 1.44 60 ft'ers. .040's on a .400 pro tree with the New Trans brake valve body.
Got to get use to holding the button in to back up. LOL.

The track was great. Spun a little 2nd pass Sunday, but put fuel back in it and backed up my first pass.

Yes we need to do it again.............. with even more Pontiacs.

BTW. BMP is going to have another 2 day deal August 18th & 19th. Might wanna plan for it.

See ya there??????

LMAO

Yup, Ken, I have a life time warrenty from advanced auto for that alternator, I brought the old one in and had the new 1 installed with in 20 minutes!!

They are gona be on the loosing end of that lifetime warrenty with me and how much i drive.

Yup, i know that combo is a 12 second one, now my job is to get there, mechanically (9inch) and rowing them gears!!!

I WILL have a line lock for this next Bradenton saturday and sunday meet... and im gona hit both. Ill burn the hell outta these 'pepboys' tires...

This week i gotta install the carpet and insulation, and im gona fabricate one of them switch panels for all my fans and fuel pumps and stereo etc.. I saw that on most of the race cars there and thought it looked kool.

Whos down for the next Runday sat and sun????

I've been signed up for the N2S event...

Ok, you're the one that raced Justin (titter). He was so pumped about keeping up with a GTO, at first anyway.

What shop are you using for your mods?

Yeah, I'm Apfu there too. Got turned on to them by some of the folks over at ls2gto.com. I've been doing most of the installs myself in the driveway, mostly bolt-ons. I've ordered mostly from Bob at Preceision Porting/Motorsports, he has been awesome to deal with. I've had tuning done by Ryan at RevXtreme but will probably have Jeremy Formato (independant tuner) tune it again in a month or so after the next round of mods.

APFU,

I never got to meet you but I saw the car make a couple of passes. I'm interested in the N2S event but I have a few questions. You can email me at 463pmd@verizon.net

If David is going I'll need to put some bigger jets in.

Ken - I wish those were my glasses, then "eye" could say "eye" made a 10 second pass. Bad pun but "eye" couldn't resist.

I've been a part of RevXtreme since the beginning. Ryan is learning, and is getting very good with the tuning aspect. Jeremy did the tuning on my 98 TA, it makes similar numbers to your 06. Jeremy and I are friends, but his only lacking area is part throttle tuning, other than that he's great!

They just got the AC in the dyno room, so you can run in cool air now.

If you tell Dino you know me he might not charge you too much more...

Yeah met, Justin and Styles after we ran. They seemed like good guys. I'm still learning how to launch this thing and still have plenty of room for improvement. Its tough having a manual, and then watching the auto guys make it look so easy.

I've been into RevXtreme several times now, and am pleased with how I've been treated and the work they've done. They said mine was like the third car dynoed at the new shop. I'll be calling Jeremy in about a month or so to have him work his magic on the tuning.
