$22/100# really means $40/100# at Forward Air
I just shipped a block TX. 2 hours waiting at Forward Air in Newark plus another 1 hour finding a post office to get a m/o since they don't take anything else. I called and they quoted me $22.00/100# plus 13% fuel surcharge, not too bad right.
So I'm thinking a 77 400 block on a small pallet should come in at under 200 lbs right. Wrong it came in a 210# and ended up costing $124.73. So round that up to 300 lbs (thankyou very much) and you could end up double what you expected to pay. Just keep this in mind when shipping items freight. |

I had a similar thing happen when I went to pay. Didn't know that's all they accepted. Still by far the cheapest way to do it!

Fedex hit my card for another $10 one time. I shipped it to a business, they said it was a residence.

Differential quote
I just got a quote from them yesterday, to ship a 160 lb differential from Ohio to San Diego.... $170 that's more than $1 per lb... still the cheapest quote I've received.
