50tooslow,
These are hard to come by, I've seen them go for at least 300 on ebay. that one looks nice. Texas Trans Am sells reproductions, but I heard the fit is not that good. I've been holding onto a spare for just in case mine gets messed up. As a matter of fact I have almost a whole front clip just in case. 74/75 bumper, valance are one year only. I'm always track these just in case I need $$$ someday

It took me forever to find a decent bumper and valance. You may know this already, but the only difference in '74 vs '75 is that '74 has turn signals and '75 has black louver type filler pieces. You can easily make one fit the other. Also, if you're putting it on a T/A, Chris right here at Performance Years carries an AWESOME reproduction lower front spoiler. I bought one from Year One and it wasn't even close.

I take it you're refering to the two what I call "bumperettes" that are to the left and right of the license plate area? If so, I'm not aware of anyone that makes them. I may have a set stashed away somewhere. I'll be going through all of my parts closer to spring. If I come across them, I'll let you know.

Thanks, Tony.

The bumperettes are not seperate parts on my 74 and they are a little shorter in 74 than 75. There is definitely a difference. Are they seperate pieces in 75?

I have a pair of NOS bumperettes. They came with my 74 T/A when I bought it, because one of mine is torn. The original owner was planning to replace them.

So on 74's, will these come off?

Are the original 74-75 valance made of flexible plastic or metal ? I just picked one up at the swapmeet and it is probably a 75 because of the lower black louvers in the lower corners.

The valance is white injection molded plastic. If it has black louvered block off plates in the 74' foglight sockets it is a 75'.

Thanks ! It is sort of grayish color (unpainted) and looks like it is going to be hard to paint to match the car color, I only found a part number on it 492465. Maybe NOS ??? I only paid forty dollars canadian for it. What's the best way to paint these valances ?

Post a pic of it.....The only NOS ones I have seen are like what you are describing..kind of a generic 74/75 offering. You stole it either way....

It will have to be roughed up to have anything stick too it. Be sure to use a flex agent or it will crack and flake. A good body guy will know the tricks.
