Cell phone tracking apps
I have a 12 year old (going on 18) son, that I may need to monitor his phone activities ( too much to go into, nothing major, but a lot of little things).
Anyway what apps are out there that allow parents to see where a child is and what they are doing on their phones? Both my wife and I have android phones (Galaxy S5's) and my son has an iPhone 5s.

The only way to not worry is not let them have cell phones until they show they are responsible in their actions. I don't believe children under the age of 18 should have them. And I still say cell phones are the bane of today's society.
I hate mine and seldom use it, other than checking the weather. For me it's use is primarily for emergencies. Just my .

Don't really want to go the phone tracking route. He's a good kid, but has an abundance of hormones for his age. Plus he's a real good looking kid. No I'm not bragging, as he was adopted. He has that Russian blond hair and blue eyes that the pre teen girls seem to go gaga over.
The wife and I had a nice, long talk with him tonight and hopefully this will clear.things up. I just wanted to know what was out there if I had to exercise the nuclear option. I looked into the Teensafe link, seemed to be easily twarted by the teen.

What's to stop him from deleting or temporarily disabling any app you add to his phone?

More of monitoring his activity than locating him.

You can lock it in an iPhone so there cant be any changes.

why not just get a regular phone that can only make calls????
thats what mine does, couldnt be happier i'm that pain in the a$$ yelling at the person in front of me that for some reason cant drive a car without texting or talking maybe i dont get the technology craze or maybe my cars are so old they can't utilize the cells phones ability to drive it for them and yes.... i know im the bad guy for telling people to drive instead of texting i realize that is their life, that little digital gadget and i should have to wait at the lights even though they've been green waiting for them to decide on their own time when it's convenient for them to start going (usually after their text conversations), and deal with people going 10mph, then 100, then 10 to make sure their phone is still right in their hands dont know what scares me more on the roads, the texter/phone talker/meth head/pill popper/stoner driving.... |
