Default Vacuum to Mechanical Tri-Power Conversion Question

I'm curious to ask the experts if you have seen this style of 1964 mechanical tri-power conversion from a factory vacuum tri-power. The spring connection to the center carb is slightly different than any I’ve seen or any reproductions that are out there today. It’s a Royal Pontiac car that was restored in the mid 2000’s but retained most of the original parts and drivetrain. I think the conversion is original to 1964, just curious your thoughts.

I’m also curious if I have the rod & plunger orientation correct. It was reversed in all the old photos I have of the vehicle.

Thanks!
