Default POCI 2018 Pics

Party at Potokar’s to start off the week of POCI....

Jeff had a car party at his beautiful house and folks are still arriving. A great spot, wonderful cars and even better friends.

Never been, but I hear he's quite the host. Enjoy the day and the festivities to follow.

Looks like a fun day. I have wanted to host my car buddies at my house with an afternoon bbq. Problem is, no room to park a bunch of cars, and I have no car buddies

We were going but still dealing with the flood damage to my shop. Hopefully next year it will be done and we can go to POCI and Norwalk and relax. Those pictures look like a fun time around some nice Pontiacs.

Nice '60. But some trivia:
Actually there was not a "1960 SD Catalina". Even the over-the-counter parts for '60 & earlier (which we now refer to as "SD", but Pontiac called "heavy duty") were not available until 1961.

I'm with you on that. The owner's a well known SD full-size guy but we didn't get into the details. I should've just called it a really cool old Pontiac. I've always been closet 60 fan and this car has just reignited my desire for one.

Not to sidetrack this thread, but if the over the counter SD parts were not available until 1961, what was in the 60 Cat that Wangers won with? What were the differences between the top street rating of 348HP vs the all out 363HP rating? Just trying to get my history straight. Thx.

BTW.....never understood why people either like or hate the 60 model year cars. People think they're going to get struck by lightning if they admit they like the only Pontiac wo a split grille? Don't see what the big deal is, but I'm prejudiced.

GMC being admitted was started via prodding by Don Bougher many years ago.I think it was to be for Pontiac powered years only. But when PMD went full corporate in the 80's, I guess they decided to allow all years.

Great pics Bob.Thanks

Nice Pictures! Have a great time and post some more pics of the convention. I'm sure there are lots of people that can't be there. Thanks for posting these.

Default POCI 2018 Pics

Well it’s a rainy day here at POCI so the Black Car is hanging out in the trailer. We got registered yesterday and went through Tech Inspection with no issues. Parked the car in the Points Judged area it got a lot of attention. Dave was busy all day answering questions and guarding the car. We went over this morning and walked around. Surprisingly there were a lot of cars hanging out with no covers. Here are some pictures.
