I'd look at who makes the engine before I'd look at who's stickers are on the rest of it.

That's why I bought the Crapsman tractor that I did, because it had the Kohler Pro II engine, which was considered the one of best at the time.

14 years later, it's still going strong.

Damn, what's the power rating on a 1000cc tractor? You need that much power to mow?

I think he's referring to a custom built 109HP "mower" called the Honda Mean Mower.
While it can cut grass at up to 15 mph, it can also go 135 mph.

I guess I'll need to read the entire post before commenting next time.

I dunno.

Seems like it would get really hot mowing in a full fire suit and with that helmet on.

'Course - it would probably be more comfortable temperature wise than inside my all black race car...

Have a 14hp Kohler Commander(?) engine from 1985 on a 83 chassis for back up. Original 85 chassis was shot, and the "free" 83 had been sit'n for years w/a bad Tecumseh.
Bought a Troy Bilt 20hp Kohler 4 yrs ago and the 14hp hasn't been used since until last weekend.
Fresh fuel and battery, stared right up. Hauled 10 cart loads of dirt on/off all day.
Ran great, and didn't use any oil.
