Cool, when I went on from the 62 to my 68 GTO, I did exactly that with a Craig Powerplay & Jensen coaxials on the rear deck. 8 tracks were a trip. How many carts did you see along side the road with all the tape spun out?

It seems that alot of your are audiophiles. Maybe someone can help me. I was wondering what equipment to use copy analog sources like LP's to a USB or other digital format? I currently use EAC to transfer CD's to a USB for use in my Burban.

Thanks in advance.

Default stereo consoles

Back to those... my uncle has a 60's flavor Grundig Majestic console; high gloss finish, all tubes. The front tilts forward to expose the controls. Still works, although the speakers are shot.

That's a classic for sure!

I remember my dad fixing the tube TV. Going with him to the grocery store (I think it was) where they had a tube test stand. Then you buy the ones you need. Back in business! Now I can return to being the human remote control! LOL! Also the antenna adjustment technician!

HA! Yep! My dad had one TV with a rotary channel dial and a single button remote! I just tried to find a picture of it. No luck. But you just held the button down and the dial slowly rotated one channel at a time. Crazy to think about now.

If you have a turntable then an A to D converter like this might be the ticket:

I've never used one myself. If you do not have a turntable then you can go after a turntable that includes a USB out.

Old school speakers my brother bought in 78-79 area, Wharfdale E70's. Plus an old Pioneer receiver I am still using today in the shop,
Not with those speakers though.

I know plenty of you are old enough to probably remember the big roof mounted outdoor TV antennas that rotated with an electric motor.
A control box sat on top of our TV with a dial marked North - South - East - West
We had tape markers labeled for the best reception spot for each of the 4 channels.
Change the channel - change the antenna setting.

I've recently become a "Cut the Cable" guy. Just got sick and tired of shelling out the massive green backs every month to Comcast (Xfinity). Using a huge antenna up in the attic left by the PO and a new programmable rotator, I've transitioned to Over The Air (OTA). Then, another company came into the neighborhood with fiber, prior to that Comcast was the only choice. So by-by Xfinity oh boo hoo.
