I'm planning on doing this same mod to my 76 SE I'm restoring, a thought on your question is to use a 70 Chevelle cowl induction harness, if you don't want to modify it into the fuse block you would have to pierce a hole in your firewall but would be an easy quick job.
I have the orange/blk tracer for under hood harness to fuse block and using the Chevelle harness to tie into the under dash to fuse block.
