The only other possibility is if there was originally a clip mounted to the rear-most washer bottle mounting screw (missing on mine), that may work with a proper length cable. The '72 PDM shows such a clip, #9782572.

Yeah, I tried to look for another hole on my inner skirt and could not find one either. That is the problem if I run it up to the large clip with the wiring harness, probably a good 6"-8" too short then. I wondered about the clip by the washer bottle bracket like the 72's also.
