I bought a new 1970 firebird tank for my 72 since i eliminated the vent system & box behind the rear seat, it is an unvented tank.
Since I wasnt using the vapor return port on the pickup I just used a tanksinc vent with the check ball in it ran up higher than the tank near the trunk floor along with a normal vented cap... no pressure or vacuum in the tank & very little smell when it sits in the garage. I live in a state with no emission testing so proper vents didnt really matter.
