T Weber is on the right track. Except mine is a rolled steel as you are accustomed to seeing on old Pontiacs. Mine is maybe not as deep as T Weber's but fits the same in the 2-groove pulley with the damper on last. I think mine I have marked as a 65 which I can believe as it bears a 9781741 part number. That doesn't show in the parts book as the parts book usually shows a number for the combined pulleys and damper and not each component number. I used a similar pulley when I added VA using a proper 61 bracket for a A6 compressor although I used a Sanden.

I don't know what Bill's friend has in mind. If a 63 2-groove works without over driving the compressor so much the better. Like people used to say, "there is more than one way to skin a cat". But why would you want to?
