You have a plugged fitting at the rear of carb you can use for the distributor ignition vacuum advance hose, instead of the fitting on #1 runner wich is good only for the vacuum motor on the air cleaner, for proper vacuum signal strength.
No need to remove the intake manifold, just lift off the carb while removing the flexplate bolt and install the proper PCV valve hose fitting.
Nothing wrong with the carb flange gasket as far as i can see.
