Yep, tough to beat a well set up model 19 S & W if you use a wheel gun for self defense. I've owned a few 357's over the years including a Colt Trooper 4" barrel, an early model 19 S & W 4" barrel, and a S & W 686 6" barrel. The 686 was used for hunting but replaced with a 629 which I still have today.
I've never owned a Colt Python, mostly because they were always quite a bit more expensive that other brands, but for sure they are at the top of the pile in that market.........
