Default Mild Built 1979 W72 Pontiac 400

After a personal deal falling through, I have decided to post my Pontiac 400 on the public forum. This is a mildly built combination but it makes awesome power. It actually makes more power than my stock LS1...no joke there. I previously had an aftermarket intake on but I have been in the process of putting a stock intake back on. That is why the intake and valley pan look ugly. I have roughly 7k miles on this combination....not that much run time. Great for anyone trying to restore a '79 400 W72 Firebird or someone simply wanting a strong street engine. I did this build in about 2010 and I roughly put $4k in this setup at the time. This will be intake to oil pan (no carb or ignition) with front accessories.

Also, this is from a non-air conditioning car so it has the metal hose bracket rather than the a/c components. Another difference over the a/c cars is it has a straight fan without a fan clutch.

Bottom end...
1979 PWH Code block
Block deck milled
+.030" KB Forged Icon Pistons
ARP rod bolts on stock rods

Top end...
6X-4 heads milled to 87cc combustion chambers
Converted to screw-in rocker studs with locks on the stock rocker arms
Lunati Voodoo series cam shaft

$2500
