Damage to the rack would be my only concern with loading the heads in. Bent you could straighten. Finish/coating scrapped off would be hard to explain. Unless it's all stainless.
I've had rods in the oven, wristpins in the freezer, jig set up on the kitchen table to put pistons/pins on the rods.
So I'm good with using the dishwasher.
