That is the probably cause of your issues, and it is small too. Swap to a Holley or a properly setup Qjet.

I'm not a carb guru, so I like the Holley Avengers. For most combos, they run fairly good right out of the box, and usually require only minor adjustments. A 770 would probably do you well, or maybe an 870 since you're running a Torquer.
