Here's one...Kind of silly, but effective. Most folks today have a laser mouse connected to their computers. If you want to watch 'em go crazy, put a small piece of black electrical tape over the laser. They'll go nuts trying to figure out why their mouse doesn't work any longer. Even the most hardcore nerds sometimes miss this one. Makes it even more fun.
