I found the bolt holes to be quite loose and...
I found the bolt holes to be quite loose and allow the scraper to move on assembly....
I moved the scraper up against the crank and drilled a small hole at each end of the scraper into the pan...

I agree, I think a rocker with a set distance between the trunnion center and roller center will only have one installed height where it is the proper length. Above that it will be too long and below...

Great info Skip, gives me a whole lot more to think about. The BBC 1.8 rocker with the offset trunnion is very interesting, I like how the push rod would be more centered in the push rod tube.

I think this is correct, but I think you could only achieve this at one valve installed height. Due to the converging angles on the valve stem, rocker stud and push rods which bring them all closer...
