We did 3.55's in my buddies built 461. Runs excellent! 11.56 at 115 mph. Tires were 28".

I would for sure do a set of Viking double...

I would for sure do a set of Viking double adjustable. I love them. Can be adjusted for anything you plan to do.....street comfort...drag racing...handling all in the same shock.

Peter yeah that was me. The 2.5" pipe diameter is fine at his power level I agree is not going to be an issue...but the mufflers can be for sure. In that test with the 340hp sbc, they tested the 3"...

2.5" VS 3" Exhaust Test

For those interested Engine Masters just did another exhaust test with 2.5" vs 3" exhaust. They did this before with a 600hp BBC and found about 20hp difference between the two. They did the test...

The ET is not the issue right now but the trap speed. The 110 trap shows the power is down from were it should be for that combo. You never responded about the check of WOT so still curious on that...

Dont get discouraged its the first time out with it. What was the total timing? Did you verify its getting 100% full throttle? I would go full 3" exhaust as well. Also need to verify A/F ratio.

I think Im going to have my buddy with the 66 try some different shift points next time out. He has tried 6000 and 6200. I think it might prefer less. Next time start at 5500...
