I will remove cluster first to review ground, and correct if an issue. If that's not it, I will clean all contacts and connections. I want to take it a step at a time, so I know what fixes the issue....

Tach to max RPM

Every time I turn the car off the tach pins itself to max. After starting, it stays there until the throttle is tapped to maybe 2K. Than it snaps back into the game and works fine.

Yes, had WOT when testing, along with all plugs put. It did crank well with no hesitation. I don't recall the milage but guessing 130K. Would have been happier with 120 to 130.

Thanks everyone. Now I get why it's there. I did put a very thin layer of Permatex. Picked up this 78 TA and a 78 formula for my retirement projects. Have to finish my 70 formula first. Thanks again.

Thanks everyone. I feel better about moving forward with e primer over e primer. I really like to have epoxy over bare metal and plastic filler before moving onto build primer and blocking from there.
