On the other hand, my Pontiac was introduced by Oakland as a "low priced" car. It's $865 price would be about 15,000 in today's dollars- truly a low price.

The engine (w/generator) needs to be turning at least about 1,600 RPM to discuss the voltage. At that speed voltage at the battery should be at least 14 volts.
