This would be a 12 C - D car. One near me is a little lower, and it's 12 C. Yup made in 1969..
On the firewall on this car above, the " hidden" vin starts with a "9" .. Gasp.. yes it does.

Tellyshavilli 04-27-2024 06:56 PM

Any chance you have a picture of the trim tag? How much does he asking?

A 9 really ? Wow

A car with that VIN was listed on eBay in 12/2019. It was a 12C dated build, 26 with 201 and M38.

From the eBay auction a few years back.

I did go and see this car today. What a waste of time. Every panel had rust thru or dents. Floors, trunk gone as well. He is asking 7500 for it.

Sounds like he needs to take a zero off of that

By your location I assume all 20 were Norwood builds?

I do believe all were Norwood built.
On cars with 2 " hidden VIN'S ( AC cars) I notice the outter most vin ( around blower motor) almost always has a 9 vs a " Zero" , but sometimes the Vin by the Ac box was just missing the first digit completely.

I have VIN 03123, is that a 9 build? Esprit, castillion bronze.
